The classes
A designation reads RR, the class, the year and the serial. Serials extend the numbering already in print and are never reused, reassigned or renumbered to tidy a gap.
L
Letter. The house letter, usually built on an archive object almost nobody has read.
P
Paper. The long arguments, run at full length. A doctrine stated plainly and defended.
F
Faculty. The curriculum on judgment. Each one ends in a single thing you actually do.
FN
Field note. Could only have been written that week, and is carried by having been in the room.
V
Observance. Admiration at length, earned by a record of conduct, asking for nothing. Rare by design. Lettered V rather than O, because O and zero are not distinguishable in a serial.
B
Book. A title struck by one of the House imprints.
HT
House tool. An instrument the House built and uses, published so it can be cited.
